An estimated crowd of 240 fans were on hand as the OU baseball team took the field for practice on Thursday night to celebrate the start of the 2012 season at "Meet the Sooners." The Sooners open the home slate this weekend against Hartford. The home opener on Friday, Feb. 24 will get underway at 3 p.m. Saturday's game is set for a 2 p.m. start and Sunday's finale is slated for a 1 p.m. first pitch.

The second-place Oklahoma Sooners play two of their last three regular season games on the road, starting Saturday, Feb. 25, at Texas. Fox Sports Net will broadcast the event beginning at 5 p.m. Central with Brent Stover and Brenda VanLengen calling the action.
