Terrence Ross of the Toronto Raptors won the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest on Saturday during NBA All-Star Weekend in Houston. Ross beat defending champion Jeremy Evans of the Utah Jazz in the finals of the contest, allegedly receiving 58 percent of the fan vote. Though the contest was full of missed dunks — several contestants were unable to complete their attempted dunks — there were still many highlights. The video above includes 11 dunks from the competition: - Gerald Green’s reverse dunk from a pass off the side of the backboard - Terrence Ross twirling the ball behind his back in the air before dunking - Kenneth Faried’s 360 after passing to himself off the backboard - Eric Bledsoe’s 180 dunk - Gerald Green’s disaster dunk after cutting off the net - Ross doing a 180 after passing to himself - Jeremy Evans doing a 180 and dunking two balls - Bledsoe’s reverse dunk after passing to himself - Faried going through his legs mid-air after passing off the backboard - Evans dunking over a painting of himself dunking - Ross taking a pass and dunking hard while wearing a Vince Carter’s Raptors number That video compilation missed a few of the other best dunks from the contest. James “Flight” White of the New York Knicks brought out a flight crew as a prop and then dunked from a step inside the free throw line: Evans brought out former Jazz center Mark Eaton, took a ball from the seated 7-footer and dunked it: And to seal his win, Ross brought out a ballboy, jumped over the youngster while putting the ball between his legs, and then dunked it: Ross later revealed that the ballboy’s father is the owner of Twitter, and that his agent set up the stunt. Ross said the boy was worried about getting hit as Ross jumped over him, but that proved to be a non-issue. Another cool fact about the contest is that Evans actually painted the picture of himself dunking. He says he spent a week and a half working on it.
