Found March 24, 2012 on Awful Announcing:
PLAYERS: Bill Self
TEAMS: Kansas Jayhawks

I fully expect @TheBigLead to have Bill Self's "you guys gotta go take a leak" video up by tomorrow morning. That was TV history.

Can we get a mention since we beat @thebiglead Seth?

After a squeaker win versus NC state, Kansas was kind enough to let the TBS post game show into the locker room for Bill Self's victory speech. The speech was certainly engaging but about what you would expect but suddenly jumped the shark as Bill Self pivoted the discourse by alerting his team who needed to to give urine.

Self lists off four players and lets them know that "You guys go to go take a leak." After checking with whomever is spearheading that initiative, the players are then told the much anticipated urination will take place "after media."

Drug testing? Steroid testing? Done by the school or done by the NCAA? I don't really care to be honest. It's just comical that TBS got that clip and how much urgency Self puts on informing his players that they'll being into a cup soon.

Bill Self Informing His Players They’re “Taking A Leak” After Media

The Kansas Jayhawks had just wrapped up a 60-57 victory over N.C. State last night so of course the TBS cameras wanted into Bill Self’s lockerroom to get the post-game speech. Congratulations, boys. Blah, blah, blah. Oh, and then Bill reminds certain players that they’ll be “taking a leak” after media. Can’t say we knew college basketball players were subjected to random...

Taylor's Kansas legacy on the line against UNC

ST. LOUIS Loving her with all your heart does not necessarily mean that she'll love you back. March is funny like that. Some years, she returns Bill Self's calls. Some years, she doesn't. You dial anyway. Consider the curious case of Tyshawn Taylor. In a dozen career NCAA tournament appearances, Kansas' point guard has averaged 7.8 points, shot 40 percent from the...

Self's late defensive change helps Kansas win

ST. LOUIS It was as if somebody had reached over and put dadgum gum in Roy Williams' hair. Sometimes in Bracketville, it comes down to a tweak. At the 11:52 mark of the second half of the NCAA tournament's Midwest Regional final, North Carolina hit the under-12-minute media timeout with 61 points. Over the previous eight minutes, they'd scored 14 points. In the eight...

KU's Self succeeds in his own way

North Carolina guard Stilman White was answering a question Saturday . . . about exactly what I do not remember. It does not matter, not really. What matters is he was doing so badly, as is to be expected for a freshman thrust into a starting role and all that entails because of an injury. And by badly, I mean it was impossible to get a feel for the kid. It was into this moment...

9 years later, Kansas still special to Williams

It's been nine years since Roy Williams left Kansas, and he knows the Jayhawks and their fans have gotten over him. No matter how much time passes, he'll never be able to say the same. Williams would rather top-seeded North Carolina (32-5) face almost anyone but his ''second-favorite'' team Sunday, a trip to the Final Four on the line. None of the players...

Report Card: No. 11 NC State vs. No. 2 Kansas

N.C. State came oh-so-close to advancing to an Elite 8 matchup with its arch rival but fell short in a 60-57 loss to Kansas on Friday in the NCAA Tournament. The Wolfpack didn't shoot well, it was in foul trouble, and it found itself down by nine points with 5:40 left, but was within a point and a chance to win it with less than 15 seconds remaining. But some poor late-game...

Withey's 10 blocks help Kansas survive

ST. LOUIS In the moments after he reached Kansas' locker room at halftime, senior guard Conner Teahan approached junior center Jeff Withey with a challenge that helped extend Kansas' season of overachievement. By that point, Withey had collected seven blocks against No. 11 seed N.C. State six more than anyone else on the floor and two fewer than his season high. Go...

Kansas primed and ready for NC State

ST. LOUIS (AP) Tyshawn Taylor and the rest of the Kansas Jayhawks know better than to focus on seeds this time of year. Especially when it comes to those nasty No. 11s. It was exactly one year ago that their bracket seemed to be opening up nicely for another Final Four run. The fourth and fifth seeds in their region went down in the second round, and the second and third quickly...

Back to the Final Four

ST. LOUIS – For the Kansas Jayhawks, this was supposed to be a down year, a rebuilding year. However, after losing four starters from last year’s ballclub, Head Coach Bill Self and the boys are headed back to the Final Four for the fourteenth time in the school’s rich history, after knocking out North Carolina 80-67.
