Chauncey Billups was not disappointed in leaving the Los Angeles Clippers to sign with the Detroit Pistons this offseason, and he admits he did not like playing shooting guard next to Chris Paul. "I definitely wasn't disappointed," Billups said. "I didn't want to be a two-guard anyway. I did it there because it's a way for me to get on the floor. You are playing behind the best point guard in the league in Chris. "I never saw myself as a shooting guard. I never wanted to play it." Billups averaged 8.4 points last season.

Here’s An Awfully Cute Brandon Jennings Wearing A Pistons Jersey As A Kid

Point guard Brandon Jennings was traded to the Detroit Pistons earlier this week, and this picture of Jennings wearing a Pistons jersey as a kid has just surfaced on the Internet. It’s quite the coincidence considering Jennings grew up in Compton, California, but then again Grant Hill was just awfully awesome in the ’90s and sold a ton of jerseys. I’m pretty sure I wore this...

Why Brandon Jennings going to the Detroit Pistons is a good move…honestly

Brandon Jennings to the Detroit Pistons suddenly made them an interesting team Just when the NBA was about to slip off into hibernation for the rest of the summer, the Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons pulled off a trade to once again make the NBA relevant. The Bucks sent lightning-quick point guard Brandon Jennings to the Pistons and received  guard Brandon Knight, forward Khris...

Bucks and Pistons Close to Completing a Sign and Trade Deal for Brandon Jennings

Not sure what the Pistons long term plan is, but having Brandon Jennings and Josh Smith on the same team probably won’t lead to championships, but I digress. Detroit and Milwaukee are nearing a sign-and-trade agreement to send Brandon Jennings to the Pistons, league sources tell Y! Sports. — Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) July 30, 2013 The sign-and-trade for Jennings to the...

Los Angeles Clippers: Best and Worst Moves of the Off Season

Los Angeles Clippers: Best and Worst Moves of the Offseason By Brandon Hartman: Vp of Content and Senior Writer at Hoopstuff Best Move: Adding Doc Rivers as Head Coach First, of course resigning Chris Paul is the Clippers’ off season gem so far. You would be one heck of a writer to convince anyone that getting perhaps the number one point guard in the league to commit to a team...

Pistons get Jennings, corner market on ill-advised jumpers

It's been a busy summer for Joe Dumars in Detroit.  He has re-shaped the Pistons franchise without giving up either of his up-and-coming big men in Andre Drummond or Greg Monroe, or the expiring contracts of Charlie Villanueva and Rodney Stuckey. When he couldn't pry Rajon Rondo from the Celtics, Dumars moved to Milwaukee, where he secured the services of Brandon Jennings...

Report: Pistons may still seek Rajon Rondo despite acquiring Brandon Jennings

Yesterday, the Pistons signed "point guard" Brandon Jennings to a 3 year, $25 million deal. I put it in quotes because Jennings is a point guard simply by default. In reality he's a ball dominating combo guard that shoots a lot (15.5 FGA per game in his career), but is terribly inefficient (39.4% career FG). Still, at only 23 years old the Pistons clearly thought...

Chris Paul reportedly told Clippers he would go to Rockets if they didn’t get Doc

The Los Angeles Clippers may have re-engaged the Boston Celtics in trade talks for Doc Rivers in June because of a threat from Chris Paul. Writing at Grantland, ESPN’s Bill Simmons says the Clips went back to the negotiating table after initially turning down a deal with the Celtics because their all-star point guard threatened [...]

Brandon Knight traded to Milwaukee

Former Kentucky point guard Brandon Knight has been traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Brandon Jennings. Knight, center Slava Kravtsov and forward Khris Middleton are on their way to the Bucks as the Pistons sign Jennings to a 3-year/$24 million deal. The trades for Knight and Jennings would be the first move for each player as a professional. Jennings was drafted 10th...

Addition of Brandon Jennings Ensures Detroit Pistons Won’t Be the Same Boring Team

Brandon Jennings brings another young player with star potential to the Pistons, who have had their busiest, most exciting offseason in recent memory. The pundits are already lining up to crush Joe Dumars in the press. Why would he trade anything to get streaky, moody Brandon Jennings on the Detroit Pistons? Why, you ask? Because Dumars literally had no other choice. If he had sat...

Pistons acquire Brandon Jennings in a sign-and-trade with the Bucks

In an effort to continue to re-tool the roster the Pistons swapped Brandon’s Tuesday afternoon as Detroit acquired point guard Brandon Jennings from the Milwaukee Bucks as part of a sign-and-trade for guard Brandon Knight, forward Khris Middleton and center Slava Kravtsov.
