The team has been tied to Upton and fellow free agent center fielder Michael Bourn and is a likely landing spot for one of the two high-profile targets. The Nationals have also been tied to Upton and Bourn as they continue their search for a center fielder. Washington has been on the hunt for some time now, and they ultimately used rookie Bryce Harper in center last season. However, the phenom projects as a corner outfielder down the road.
