Remember, kids: if you suck at your job, remember to be famous while doing it. That way you’ll be assured of landing a job with someone desperate to latch on to someone famous when you get fired because you sucked.
Bobby Valentine is the latest in sports to follow Isiah Thomas’ footsteps and give it the ol’ college try. The Connecticut Post is reporting that Sacred Heart University, a Division I school in Fairfield, Conn., will hire Valentine as its next athletic director.
It’s a nice attention-grabber for a school most of us have never heard of, but that is about as far as it goes in terms of positives. The odds of this working out aren’t very good.
