Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman is not supposed to be leading the fan vote for the last roster spot on the National League All Star.  Once Dodgers rookie sensation Yusiel Puig was not given a spot on the team by NL manager Bruce Bochy, it was a foregone conclusion that Puig would run away with the fan vote. But when you assume, you make a sucker out of you and me (or something like that). Through 299 at bats, Freeman is hitting .304 with nine home runs and 56 RBIs.  After being called up in early June, Puig is hitting .407 with eight home runs, 19 RBIs and five stolen bases in 135 at bats. Now that Freeman is leading the vote which ends Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. Eastern.  And he just put on the full court press for Braves fans everywhere. According to CBSSports baseball writer Scott Miller, Freeman is bribing fans with tickets to a future Braves game. via @ScottMCBS Everyone and their brother is saying that they want Puig in the game to give it some pizzazz. Well people, put your vote where you mouth is. Or, just hope Freeman picks you to attend a game at Turner Field. [via Scott Miller]
