On Sunday, Brian Vickers will be gunning for his third top-5 in four starts this season for Michael Waltrip Racing.

Vickers makes his fourth 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup start Sunday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. He’ll drive Michael Waltrip Racing’s No. 55 MyClassicGarage Toyota on the one mile oval.

The 28-year-old Thomasville, N.C. native owns two top-five finishes in just three starts this season including a fourth place finish at Sonoma on June 24. Vickers will drive six races in the No. 55 in 2012 including both races at: Bristol, Martinsville and New Hampshire. The No. 55 is 12th in owner points.

BRIAN VICKERS: “Loudon should be a great gauge for how we are performing this year. While it has only been three races (two short tracks and a road course), and we have had great success, New Hampshire will offer myself, Rodney and the rest of the MWR team the opportunity to use the knowledge we have gained away from race weekends.

“I've spent a lot of time testing the No. 55 Toyota during the past couple weeks and the gains we have made should be able to carry over. I also have two teammates (Martin Truex Jr. and Clint Bowyer) who have also had wins at the track so as a group we should be as solid as we have all year.

“Loudon’s a fun, fast, flat track. The entry is really important into each corner. A lot of guys will slide the left front into the corner and ruin the lap. If you get the entry wrong, you can't roll the center, which is really key to getting a good exit off for the two long, high speed straights.

"The MyClassicGarage guys have a great website for classic car collectors. It really puts a lot of tools at your fingertips. It's free and anyone that signs up is entered to win a fully restored 1979 Firebird."

VICKERS AT NEW HAMPSHIRE: Owns two top-five finishes in 13 starts including a fifth-place finish on Sept. 25. He won the pole for the July 17, 2005 race. Sunday marks his 259th career Sprint Cup start.
