The Tampa Bay Buccaneers did a little roster tweaking Tuesday in the hours leading up to the start of training camp. Further fortifying their running back corps the Bucs signed former Browns and Chiefs running back Peyton Hillis to a one-year contract. A five-year veteran Hillis had a breakout year with Cleveland in 2010 running for 1177 yards and 11 touchdowns. Since then however Hillis has run 246 times for 896 yards over two seasons for Cleveland and Kansas City. Hillis was one of several veterans brought in for a look as Bucs players prepare to report to camp. Tight end Visanthe Schiancoe and defensive lineman Tommie Harris were among the others. The 6-foot-2 250-pound Hillis joins a backfield in which Pro Bowler Doug Martin has established himself as the starter but where several candidates are vying for the right to back up the second-year pro.
