Found May 30, 2013 on FF Locker Room:
DeMarco Sampson, a 2011 7th round pick of the Cardinals, was signed by the Buffalo Bills. He joins a young and inexperienced cast of receivers to battle it out in camp to get snaps on the opposite side of the field to Steve Johnson. Sampson made headlines during his rookie year in camp but only caught 3 passes in all of 2011. He didn’t make it onto the field in 2012 and is looking to catch on elsewhere. It wasn’t a good sign when he was released from the Eagles about two weeks ago.   The post Buffalo Bills Add WR DeMarco Sampson appeared first on FFLockerRoom | Fantasy Sports Advice | Sports News | Sports Talk |.

Kyle Williams says the Bills have their mission: ‘Stop Tom Brady’

If your team is in the AFC East, the New England Patriots have made life hard for over ten years. The Buffalo Bills are tired of being on the bad side of things and taking aim at the Patriots, more specifically Tom Brady. Defensive lineman Kyle Williams says it will take more than devising a defense and deeming it a perfect fit to stop Brady, he knows from experience, it’s not...

Doug Marrone impressed with E.J. Manuel

Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone has been very impressed with rookie quarterback E.J. Manuel so far. “From my standpoint … EJ Manuel has done better (as a rookie) than any of the other organizations I’ve been a part of,” said Marrone, per BuffaloBills.com. Marrone doesn’t have an extensive NFL resume, but he did coach with the Saints and Jets in the 2000′s.  The...

Loose lips sinks ships: Chip Kelly takes a page out of the Bill Belichick book of non-disclosure on injuries

We know New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick learned facets of the Oregon offense and implemented it into his own system from Eagles coach Chip Kelly. However, it looks like Kelly has taken some of Belichick’s habits as well. In a truly Belichick style, Kelly was elusive when talking about injuries. According to Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News, when asked about some...

Chip Kelly in no rush to name starting quarterback

Philadelphia coach Chip Kelly isn’t going to let outside pressure to name a starting quarterback until the time is right. Kelly wants as much information on all his signal callers going into camp, and let it play out through the preseason. Kelly has said that naming a quarterback this early would be in name only and if any of his QB’s felt snubbed, they may be in the wrong...

Connor Barwin gives concert tickets to fan with most creative use of his Texans jersey

Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Connor Barwin gave us another example of the benefits of Twitter this week when he held a contest to give away free concert tickets. The idea stemmed from a thought that Barwin had about how he hates when players switch teams, rendering their old jerseys useless. In an attempt to avoid that, [...]

C.J. Spiller Will Be Fully Utilized By Marrone

New Buffalo Bills coach Doug Marrone said Wednesday that running back C.J. Spiller will not be pulled from games in short-yardage, third-down or red-zone situations this season. SOURCE: Buffalo NewsFantasy Spin:"My philosophy's always been if someone starts off and they're running well, keep feeding them the ball," Marrone said. The Bills still have veteran Fred...

Men that recorded Bills GM Buddy Nix and Bucs GM Mark Dominik face federal charges

Well it sounded like such a great idea before they did it, and while it was a pretty interesting idea it could cost.  The two men who recorded GM’s Buddy Nix and Mark Dominik now are looking at Federal time, per John Borsa of WKBW Channel 7 News out of Buffalo. Attorney’s say 20-year-old Joshua Barber and 20-year-old Nicholas Kaiser called the office of former Buffalo Bills...

Jairus Byrd’s Contract Situation, Part 3

Now that we have a method to determine salaries for safeties based on their expected production as well as an aging curve to estimate that production, we now must determine the term of the agreement the Bills should offer Jairus Byrd. The NFL’s Collective Bargaining Agreement, as negotiated before the 2011 season, doesn’t explicitly put much restriction on the length of a...

It's Avant's time to step up or be left behind...

A lot of PR juice out there about Eagles' WR Jason Avant being challenged to step up and take over a leadership role not just on the offense but on the team... That's a lot of pressure to put on a guy who's simply trying to make the team. It sure doesn't help when your new head coach says, "Hey buddy! How's about taking some reps at cornerback?"...

Buffalo Bills 2013: 10 Things We Learned From OTAs

1) Get ready for some fast paced footballOTAs were played at a fast pace and snaps were made 15 second into when the play clock started. This isn't going to be your Manning-type offense with audibles, hot routes, and a last second snap. This strategy was probably the reasoning behind picking EJ Manuel instead of Matt Barkley or Ryan Nassib.2) There's a punter battleI think...

Don't count on Kenny Phillips... at least for now...

It's an all too familiar scenario for the Eagles secondary coaches in recent years... a once-great but now injured veteran safety is signed on a low-risk high-reward contract ...and it ends up going nowhere. It's too early to throw Kenny Phillips under the bus... but it's not looking real good right now. The former New York Giant did not practice for the Eagles...
