Canseco still wants to play pro baseball in 2012

Former major league slugger Jose Canseco still wants to play professional baseball in 2012. Canseco was suspended earlier this month from the Mexican league after allegedly refusing to undergo a doping test. Canseco says he was told he didn't have to take the test even after he volunteered to testing. He says he offered to show proof of his prescription for a medicine used to produce testosterone. Canseco spent last season as player/manager for the Yuma Scorpions of the North American League. Canseco says he would return to the independent league. The former AL MVP says he could still hit 30 to 40 home runs in the majors. He says a return to the big leagues will never happen because he's ''the outcast'' for writing his 2005 tell-all book, ''Juiced.''
