Eastlake, OH – James Baldwin scored on a passed ball in the top of the eleventh inning and the Great Lakes Loons (26-41) defeated the Lake County Captains (21-43) by a final of 1-0. The Captains fall to 0-3 in extra innings this year and are now 2-2 in one to nothing games in 2013.
Blake Wood (0-0) was on rehab from the Indians and started the game for the Captains. Blake pitched two thirds of an inning, walked three and struck out one.
Robbie Aviles (1-2) entered in relief in the second inning. Aviles did not get a decision after twirling five and one third innings of scoreless baseball. Aviles did not walk anybody and struck out four.
D.J. Brown pitched three scoreless innings to get the Captains to extras. Benny Suarez (1-2) took the loss after pitching two innings and surrendering just one unearned run.
