The San Diego Chargers are hoping to have a magical run in the playoffs. They shouldn't of even made it in the first place, but they did after the referees missed a couple of calls in week 17 against the Chiefs. Now they are in and they are trying to take advantage of the opportunity. The Chargers went into Cincinnati, where the Bengals haven't lost all year and they beat them. Now the Chargers will travel to Denver to face a Broncos team that they have already beat once in Denver and they have one of the hottest quarterbacks in the NFL with Phillip Rivers. For the Chargers to continue their success they will need to continue to protect Rivers and give him time to make plays. According to San Diego Chargers beat writer Michael Gehlken offensive tackle D.J. Fluker was seen wearing a protective boot after the Cincinnati game. Fluker has been battling an ankle injury most of the year, but has been playing through it and that is expected to be the case when they take on the Broncos. Fluker will not be 100%, but he is expected to play barring any setbacks.D.J. Fluker in protective boot after game. Chargers RT has dealt with ankle injury much of season. Played through it. Expected to continue.— Michael Gehlken (@UTgehlken) January 6, 2014D.J. Fluker has had a pretty solid season for the Chargers, which is what they were hoping for when they selected him with the 11th overall pick in the 2013 draft. The Chargers main focus this year had to be protecting Rivers if they wanted to have any kind of success and they have done just that. It will be interesting to see how well Fluker will play this week with his ankle bothering him.
