It’s celebrity week on The Price is Right, and as luck would have it, the show’s producers nabbed Charles Barkley to be one of their celebrities. The premise is that whatever the contestants win on that particular day the show will match the winnings and donate to the celebrity’s charity of choice. Sir Charles chose Mustard Seed School for Homeless Kids in Sacramento as his charity, because Charles Barkley is a nice man. The episode with Barkley will air on Thursday, and you know that it will involve Plinko somehow, because Plinko is just the greatest. To whet your appetite, here’s a clip from the show, in which Barkley gets called down to contestant’s row with the iconic “Come on down!” before joining host Drew Carey in a game that involves the Inside the NBA analyst to guess the value of certain items within a specific dollar amount. The joke is, of course, that all the items involve Barkley in one way or another. While the Look Who’s Talking Now DVD and little black dress/size 15 heels were cute, the 1988 Fleer Kenny Smith card was the absolute kicker, as was Chuck’s guess at a dollar (actual retail price…$1.50). Too bad Bob Barker wasn’t still hosting the The Price is Right, because you totally know that Bob and Charles would have gone out and picked up some chicks after the show.
