The Oakland Raiders are looking to bounce back from a dismal 4-12 season, and things are coming together well with some notable additions. Quarterback Matt Flynn is set to be the starter, and on the other side of the ball, the return of safety Charles Woodson certainly has lit a fire under the team's hopes for this year. Woodson thinks the team, and more specifically the defense, is poised to make successful run in 2013. “It’s been good," Woodson said, via the Contra Costa Times. We have some players back there. Bringing in Mike Jenkins, bringing in Tracy Porter, having Tyvon who has been here a few years, we have guys that have won games in this league, have been good players in this league. We know how to win.” Since his return to Oakland, all eyes have been on the 36-year-old Pro Bowler, wondering what he has left in the tank at such a late stage in his career. "Everybody wants to see how I'm going to come out here and work and practice," he said, "and the last few weeks I've showed them what kind of player I am and why I have been around this long." Head coach Dennis Allen agrees that Woodson still can play at a high level and be a key cog in the secondary. "Wood's been great," Allen said. "He's done everything that we've asked him to do. He's really exactly what we felt we were going to be able to get in a player like that; a Hall of Fame-caliber player that's made a lot of plays on the football over his career. We're going to continue to ask him to do those things."
