Awful news out of Kansas City this morning, as Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher has reportedly killed his girlfriend at their home, and then drove to the Chiefs practice facility and shot himself. Belcher's identity was a mystery at first, until reports surfaced about him being the Chiefs player involved in the shootings. Belcher, signed by the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Maine in 2009, had played in every game since joining the team before the 2009 season. He started 15 games in 2010, 16 games in 2011, and had started all 11 Chiefs games in 2012, totaling 38 tackles this year. We'll have more on this situation as it develops, but the staff here at TGS sends our prayers to the families of both Belcher and his late girlfriend. [follow]
