In an expected move, the Kansas City Chiefs have placed wide
receiver Dwayne Bowe on the injured reserve list, ending his season, reports
Dan Hanzus of NFL.com.
The Kansas City Chiefs made it official Saturday,
moving wide receiver Dwayne Bowe to season-ending injured reserve.
Bowe sustained a rib injury last weekend against the Browns
after he was accidentally kicked at the conclusion of a play. The injury was
later diagnosed as broken ribs and the wide receiver was ruled out for the
remainder of the season.
Bowe ends his season with 59 receptions for 801 yards and
three touchdowns for a Chiefs offense that’s been mostly ineffective.
Considering his season is over, Bowe may have seen his last
snap for the Chiefs. He was playing under the team’s franchise tag this year
and will likely become a free agent following the 2012-13 campaign, according
To fill Bowe’s spot on their 53-man roster the Chiefs
promoted offensive lineman Rich Ranglin from the practice squad.
