Pro Football Weekly writes that there’s no question that the Titans should pick up RB Chris Johnson‘s $9 million option.
PFW adds that Tennessee has plenty of cap space to work with, so the steep price tag isn’t exactly the same kind of obstacle for them that it would be for other NFL teams. They also cite Johnson’s durability and explosiveness as other reasons why the Titans would be wise to keep the running back around.
Johnson has manged to get his yards-per-carry up to 4.9 and sits just 7 yards away from his fifth consecutive 1000 yard season. Even so, Pro Football Focus has Johnson listed as the No. 47 best running back out of 57 qualifying players.

Titans Likely To Pick Up RB Chris Johnson's $9M Bonus
The Titans will have a lot of tough decisions to make in the offseason, but picking up Chris Johnsons $9 million option shouldnt be one of them, we hear. Titans RB Chris Johnson Unhappy With Role Last Week Vs Texans
On Thursday, Titans running back Chris Johnson said he was very upset with his role in the second half of last Sundays 24-10 loss to the Texans, when he had only three carries and spent most of his time on the field blocking in pass protection.

Titans fans should be glad their record isn't 1-11
The Tennessee Titans could easily be 1-11 right now, instead of 4-8, if the outcome of a few plays had not been in the Titans' favor. Three of the Titans' four wins were by a total of just seven points - a one-point win and two three-point wins - so all three of those wins could have been losses if just one play in each of those games had been different.
That...
Colts Fan Gives Rob Bironas A New Set Of Uprights
That’s a much more difficult target for a kicker to hit, given the extra distance and the smaller margin between the uprights. Oh, and it might be somewhat more obscene, too.

It's another sad day in a season which hasn't had many high points. The Titans took a 20-7 halftime lead into the locker room at Lucas Oil Stadium.
