It’s basketball season in Lexington, KY…wait, it’s basketball season everywhere right now, right? Well, whereas in most SEC states it’s all about two seasons: 1) football season and 2) waiting for football season, it’s the opposite in Lexington; college basketball rules (whenever the horses aren’t racing) and football is a pleasant distraction for a few months until round ball returns again. Unfortunately for the Kentucky Wildcats, however, football hasn’t even been a semi-pleasant distraction over the last few seasons, and most agreed that drastic changes were necessary to get the program back to some level of respectability. That said, a new coaching staff has already been assembled and now the state legislature is looking for support on a substantial overhaul to Commomwealth Stadium.
