NFL Injury Report:
The Indianapolis Colts' inside linebacker Kavell Connor has been a staple on the team's defense for the past two seasons. In 2011 he started on the inside alongside Pat Angerer, and finished third on the team with 104 tackles. The emergence of rookie linebacker Jerrell Freeman last season threatened Connor's starting role on the team, but when Angerer went down with a season-ending injury, Connor returned to the lineup and started nine games.
Last season, Freeman emerged onto the NFL scene and recorded a team high 145 tackles and two sacks as a rookie. Freeman is an impact player for the Colts on defense, and with the return of the team's former leading tackler, Angerer, Connor has been pushed out of the lineup this season and is now expendable to the team.
According to Ian Rapport of NFL.com, the Colts are looking to see if they can trade the fourth-year linebacker.

Connor's production slipped last season, and he's not nearly the impact player Freeman is or as reliable as Angerer. However, Connor is still a young ascending player, and with depth at inside linebacker, the Colts are hoping they can still get something for Connor on the trade block.
Connor is set to become a free agent after this season, so Indianapolis is probably trying to get something for the veteran linebacker before he hits the open market. The Colts could use some more depth at offensive and defensive line, as well as at cornerback. So that might be what they are looking for in return for Connor. More than likely though they will get a future late round draft pick for the linebacker.
Despite the rumors, there's still a good chance the Colts keep Connor around. He's still one of the better linebackers on the team and offers depth at an important position that has been hit with injuries the past few seasons.

Andrew Luck was a fantastic rookie Quarterback in both the real and fantasy world last season. Last season the Stanford product could be had reasonably cheap at the draft table, but this year he’s typically coming off the board as the 9th highest quarterback selected and the difference in price isn’t likely to be justified. Make no mistake about it – Luck was a revelation last...
Andrew Luck of the Indianapolis Colts is no longer a rookie, one would think the pressure would subside. However, the pressure for Andrew Luck may never dissipate.
Replacing Peyton Manning and the legacy left behind, the Indianapolis Colts second year star still has his work cut out for him.
In fact, one could say expectations are even larger after the Colts miraculously made...
The Indianapolis Colts have made their final cuts and have gotten their roster down to the final 53. The cuts include: - OLB Daniel Adongo - S Larry Asante - C/OG Thomas Austin - OT Emmett Cleary - CB Marshay Green - DE Lawrence Guy - QB Chandler Harnish - FB Robert Hughes - OT Ben Ijalana - TE Dominique Jones - WR Jeremy Kelley - LB Shawn Loiseau - LB Josh McNary ...
It barely registered as a blip on the radar, but today the Indianapolis Colts assigned preseason standout Caesar Rayford to the final roster. Rayford, a 2008 graduate of Washington, spent the past 4 years in the Arena Football League, before earning a call-up this Spring with the Colts. Rayford took the chance, and owned it. […]
Indianapolis will seek to host its second Super Bowl in 2018 after a highly praised debut in 2012.
The city notified the NFL of its intentions Friday ahead of a news conference at which Gov. Mike Pence, Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay and civic leaders made the decision public at Lucas Oil Stadium, site of the 2012 Super Bowl.

The Indianapolis Colts didn't play many starters, and they were easily beaten by the Cincinnati Bengals. It wasn't a good game for the Colts. I guess that's what happens when Andrew Luck and the key starters don't play. Matt Hasselbeck got the start for the game. He led them off pretty well but failed to get more than 3 on the board. His performance was decent...
When the Super Bowl and all that comes with it invaded Indianapolis two years ago we wondered exactly how the first-time host would fare in putting together one of this country's biggest events. In the end most of my media buddies and I believed that Indy built a wonderful week (with mild weather that was much warmer than it had been the February before while we were in Dallas...
Andy Dalton felt good after his only pass was completed and his only drive ended in a touchdown.
The Colts? They just wanted to get off the field without getting hurt.
Cincinnati's 27-10 victory over Indianapolis in the final preseason game Thursday night sent both teams into their final days of roster cutting with a reason to feel good about how they stack up overall.
Here's my final guess at the 53 man roster. There are some changes in this one than the previous one I did a few weeks ago. The cutdown is tomorrow (Saturday August 31st) at 4pm.
