GOODYEAR, Arizona (AP) -- Patrick Corbin continued to state his case for a spot in the Diamondbacks' starting rotation Friday in a 7-5 win over the Indians. Corbin, competing for the fifth starting spot with Randall Delgado, allowed two runs and three hits in five innings. He lost his command in the third inning, walking three and allowing a two-run single to Michael Brantley, but shut down the Indians on one hit in his last two innings in his longest outing of the spring. Corbin, a left-hander, likes his chances of finding a spot in the D-backs rotation in spite of his wild inning. "In the third inning, I was rushing a little bit. I probably got a little tired," Corbin said. "I can usually correct that. I didn't correct it as quick as I normally do. After that, I had two good innings. "My goal now is to get ready for the season. I feel I've done everything they've asked. I feel that if they pick me for that spot, I can go out there and compet...

Diamondbacks’ Aaron Hill, hit or miss

Aaron Hill’s lack of strikeouts would indicate he’s a consistent hitter, but he’s not. Hitting .205 in 2010 and .246 in 2011, his season’s average was aided by a torrid finish with the Arizona Diamondbacks as he was hitting .225 with the Blue Jays. SURPRISE, Ariz. -- The Diamondbacks' lineup for Saturday's game against the Royals featured a few peculiarities, but they might end up being short-term regularities due to pair of injuries that have shaken up the team's outfield situation. The New Fantasy Baseball Ranking of Adam Eaton

Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Adam Eaton will miss 6-8 weeks of action with a sprained elbow. SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- When the 2012 season ended, infielder Eric Chavez knew it was time for his stint with the Yankees to do the same. In that sense, there couldn't have been a much better fit than the Diamondbacks, who were interested in signing the veteran of 15 major league seasons...
