[New Philadelphia coach Chip Kelly insists all positions are up for grabs with the Eagles.  Michael Vick was unhappy with the lack of first-team reps during minicamp as he split reps with Nick Foles.

With apparently no apparent starter at quarterback, Geoff Mosher of CSN Philadelphia reports that Vick could be a roster casualty if Kelly is sold on Nick Foles and the promise of Matt Barkley.

The Eagles would be stuck with Vick's $3.5 million signing bonus if they released him.]

All of the ESPN pundits are just ASSuming Mike Vick will be the guy, but I still don't believe this will be the case unless Mike Vick can pull out a 2010 season (minus the injuries) for the 2013 preseason and beyond. Now is there anyone out there who thinks that 3.5 million is too much to pay a potential locker room cancer to walk away? I mean they are paying Nnamdi a heck of a lot more to do the same. Don't worry flipflop. You can answer the question. I know you have been having trouble comprehending the fact Chip Kelly isn't on YB, but I want you to know that when I post a question on YB it isn't for Kelly to answer. I hope I have made that clear for you due to your constant recent confusion.

  • I think if Vick fails to beat Foles out decisively he very well could be the odd man out here. If nothing else Kelly knows Dixon can run his offense. If Foles or Barkley can't do it Kelly knows he has a guy in Dixon who may not be flashy, but wont be careless with the football. Kelly has made it clear that he wants good decision making and accuracy with the football. Neither of these are strong points of Vick's game. The offense apparently will rely more on the short pass instead of the long pass. Again this is not a strong point of Vick's game in fact Vick struggles to even complete screen passes due to his size. I truly have a hard time seeing how he can win this unless he becomes someone that he's really never been.
