Recently re-signed Cowboys offensive lineman Montrae Holland played well enough Sunday to solidify the team's starting left guard position, coach Jason Garrett said Monday. Holland started in place of rookie Bill Nagy at left guard against St. Louis. Nagy broke his right ankle the previous week at New England and is out for the season. Holland paved the way for Murray's record rushing day. "He just was really solid," Garrett said. "It was an impressive performance by him."

Dez Bryant Respects 90s Cowboys Teams But Wants to Make ‘A Path of Our Own’

As is the case with any great franchise, people have a tendency to compare the Cowboys of now to the Cowboys of old.  During the Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, and Michael Irvin years, Dallas dominated the NFL.  These days, the pride and joy of Jerry Jones is fighting for its playoff life.  After hearing comparisons [...]

Romo says wife is pregnant

IRVING – Things are looking up for Cowboys QB Tony Romo. He threw a pair of TD passes in a turnover-free performance in Sunday’s blowout win over the Rams. He no longer has to take pain-killing injections for his fractured rib. And one other thing: His wife is pregnant. Romo said Tuesday morning that he and his wife, Candice Crawford, are expecting their first child, according...

Tim Tebow or Tony Romo?

I was at work yesterday and The Football Genius and I were talking and we were discussing who we would make our QB if it was our franchise and our careers or even franchise depended on it.  Would we take Tim Tebow or would we take Tony Romo?  It made for an interesting conversation and made us think about it as we weighed out the pros and cons of having one or the other.  A rookie...

Cowboys Run Roughshod Over Rams

Nursing a two game losing streak and their record below .500 (2-3) the Dallas Cowboys were a team in search of its identity.  Victims of inconsistent play that produced several close finishes the “boys” were a team in need of a game to boost their collective confidence. Apparently the football gods are on their side because the St. Louis Rams arrived at Cowboys Stadium just...

Nice Knowing You, Felix Jones

Okay, so it came against the worst run defense in all of football, and 91 yards of it came on a single run on which he was literally untouched. But history shows that, when you have a game like the one DeMarco Murray had against the Rams, it's usually a good omen for your career, and a lousy omen for whatever running back you replaced. Take a look: Before Sunday, there were...

Dallas Cowboys vs. St. Louis Rams – Quick Reactions

He answered some of the questions we have all been asking. Before we go getting too excited about the Dallas Cowboys trouncing the St. Louis Rams yesterday, let us remember: it was the Rams.  The Rams were averaging less than 10 points a game on offense before today, and they were giving up more than 25 points a game before facing the Boys, so essentially the Cowboys did what everyone...

Baby on the Way for Romo

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo may be used to throwing a football or two with his teammates but now he's got another move he is working on, new father. During an ani-drug rally at Cedar Hill High School on Tuesday, Romo announced he and his wife, Candice are expecting their first child. "I actually have one on the way," said Romo.
