The Cowboys are 3-5 at the midpoint point and seemingly under siege nationally for their disappointing start. Fox analyst and former Cowboys coach Jimmy Johnson accused them of having a country-club atmosphere and no accountability. That didn't go over well in the locker room. Tight end Jason Witten has respect for Johnson but said he's not around enough to know what the atmosphere is. "Obviously he's been great for this franchise and won a lot of Super Bowls, but I haven't seen him around here a lot," Witten said. "These guys are working hard. Ultimately that's going to happen. I don't think players can worry about that. You got to fix it. We know what the expectations are, and trust me, we feel it every day. I don't think you allow that to get in the way." Coach Jason Garrett, who played for Johnson on the Cowboys' 1993 Super Bowl title team, also disagreed with the assessment. "I don't really have any comment on that," he said. "We do things the way we do things here from a football standpoint, and we believe that we practice the right way, we meet the right way and we create the right atmosphere of urgency for our players. It's what I learned as a player and coach in this league, and that's what we're trying to create here as a football team."
