Gardenhire is obviosly on Cruise Control headed towards retirement. What other reason for leaving his pitchers in games to spot the other team 5 to 7 run leads in the first couple of innings. When the defense has to make spectacular plays to get outs and the other teams are hitting 4 + homers a game it should be very clear when a pitcher just doesn't have it that day. And as for smart baseball, take a look lately - the Twins are making more basic mistakes than other teams. Gardy has lost it - time for the Tar and Feathers.
