Image courtesy of Shelf3d Thursday was a busy day for Philadelphia sports. The Flyers played, the Sixers tried to answer the Jason Richardson injury, and the Eagles hired a defensive coordinator. Not to mention that Curt Schilling basically burned every bridge he has ever had with the Boston Red Sox. The Flyers were looking to continue their two game winning streak as the Florida Panthers strolled into town. The Flyers ultimately fell in a shootout. (The Orange Update) Anthony SanFilipo, Flyers inside (and out) reporter, broke the news that the Flyers no longer use "Knock Knock" as their victory song. The songs may surprise you...especially the Jermaine Dupri one... (Flyers Inside Out) Sixers have announced today that they have signed Jeremy Pargo to a 10- day contract. The Sixers are set to hit the court on Saturday night, get your cheapest tickets here. (Buzz on Broad)  The Eagles have announced the signing of defensive coordinator, Billy Davis. Davis coached Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie to a pro-bowl a few seasons ago. (Bleeding Green Nation) Former Phillie and Red Sox great, Curt Schilling burned the Boston bridge on Thursday. Schilling stated that the Red Sox actually encouraged performance enhancing drugs in 2008. (Buzz on Broad) In unrelated Philly sports but kind of funny news, the Boston Bruins have traded Tim Thomas to the New York Islanders. Thomas, who is taking a season off, still claims that he is keeping to his word and will not play this season. (USA Today)
