Like a lot of us, David Price had some regrets Sunday morning about the decisions he made Saturday night. The Rays pitcher apologized on Twitter for the angry, self-promoting rant he went on after the Red Sox unloaded on him in Game 2 of the American League Division Series on Saturday. After giving up seven runs in the Red Sox’ 7-4 victory, the left-hander went on social media and listed his many college and professional accomplishments. No tweet was too small for Price to respond to, and a day later he realized it probably was not the best look for a former Cy Young Award winner. He cooled down and apologized on Twitter. Last night got out of hand and I apologize for the things that I said on here...if I offended you I am very sorry for doing so...#thatsnotme— David Price (@DAVIDprice14) October 06, 2013 Whoever might have been “offended” by Price’s tirade probably needs to lighten up a lot and realize that it’s not the end of the world if an athlete gets angry on Twitter, but whatever. Price has to hope Alex Cobb can extend the series in Game 3 on Monday to give him the slightest chance of facing the Red Sox again.
