A middleweight tango between Derek Brunson (Pictured) and Chris Leben kicked off Saturday’s “UFC 155: Dos Santos vs. Velasquez II” pay-per-view broadcast. The show is headlined by a heavyweight title tilt between reigning champion Junior dos Santos and Cain Velasquez. Betting Line: Favorite (-) Underdog (+) Derek Brunson +125 Chris Leben -155 Here is the play-by-play from Leben vs. Brunson: 1stRound: Brunson plants his opponent on his back in less than a minute. Leben attempts an armbar from his back, but Brunson picks him up and slams him off. After a brief scramble, Brunson ends up in full mount. Leben moves him back to full-guard, but eats a big elbow for his troubles. 2ndRound: Brunson gets double under-hooks and is working hard for another takedown. Leben manages to throw him off this time. Brunson scores with a powerful takedown. Leben gets to his feet. Brunson’s punches are coming out much slower than earlier. Leben has to notice how winded his opposition is. Both middleweights appear to be moving in slow motion at the moment. 3rdRound: Leben comes out smiling as if he knows something we don’t. Brunson has him staring up at the lights and has four minutes to work. Leben wiggles free. “The Crippler” is on the attack, but he might not have the energy to rally. Crowd voicing its displeasure. Leben tags him with a left, then gets slammed down for good measure. Official Result: Derek Brunson Defeated Chris Leben via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
