Derrick Rose might not be back on the court for a little while.credit: blogspot.com Lately, there has been a lot of chatter and anticipation for the return of Derrick Rose. The former MVP has been recovering from a torn ACL, and talk had recently been circulating that he could be return sooner rather than later. Well, this was clearly a lot of speculation. Because according to Derrick Rose, he won’t be returning until he is 110%. And apparently, that point is pretty far away. Via USA Today: “I don’t have a set date,” Rose told USA TODAY Sports on Monday in his first extensive interview since the 2012-13 NBA season began. “I’m not coming back until I’m 110%. Who knows when that can be? It can be within a couple of weeks. It could be next year. It could be any day. It could be any time. It’s just that I’m not coming back until I’m ready.” How close is Rose to 110%? “Right now, probably in the high 80s,” he said. “Far away. Far away.” As much as we’d all like to see him on the court as soon as possible, Rose is probably right here. Knee injuries are particularly messy, and he’s at a point in his career where he has to be looking long-term. Hopefully he can return this season, as the Bulls need him to make a deep playoff run. But one thing is for sure; if he’s not ready, he won’t be on the floor. It’s tough to hear if you’re a Bulls fan, but it’s probably in the best interest of both Derrick Rose and the franchise to keep him off the court until he feels comfortable. -Mark Evans, Assistant Manager/Editor of Content Follow us on Twitter The post Derrick Rose Is “Far Away” From Coming Back appeared first on Pass The Pill.
