Video: Dion Waiters monster double-pump dunk

Tweet The Cleveland Cavaliers took a risk by drafting Dion Waiters fourth overall in last summer’s NBA Draft, mostly for his ability to make plays like this: Waiters early development has been much needed for a Cavs team that is without last season’s ROY Kyrie Irving. If Waiters can keep it up, the Cavs will [...]

Cavaliers' Anderson Varejao Trade Rumors Heating Up

The Cleveland Cavaliers, off to a perfect 3 and 11 record

.    The Cleveland Cavaliers season is shaping up to be one of the greatest in rebuilding history. I couldn’t have scripted it better myself. I thought they would be bad, while not being bad enough to improve their roster. I thought that they would be just bad enough to lurk around .500, and that they might even sneak into the playoffs. However I pleasantly surprised to see...

Loss stings, but Cavs offering something here

CLEVELAND -- Finding new ways to describe the Cavaliers habit of keeping games close, and then losing, may be the most difficult part of this season. But the nice thing is theyre keeping it close. In a city thats begging for a reason to taunt opposing fans, a reason to experience how it feels to win and win a lot, maybe that doesnt sound like much of a prize. Maybe the Cavs 118...

Box Score: Cavaliers 79, Pistons 89

You knew this game would be tough to win, with the Cavaliers starting backcourt out with injuries and the Pistons playing good basketball as of late. For a while, that’s exactly what happened, with the Cavaliers falling behind by 20 points in the first half and trailing by 17 at the half. In the 4th quarter, the Cavaliers made a good effort to try to get back into this one. With...

Executive: Varejao ‘The Top Target' If Available

Anderson Varejao could be the top trade target this season -- if he's available.

Cavaliers (4-12) vs. Trail Blazers (6-10)

OPENING TIP We all knew the Cavaliers would get one of these. We knew they would keep things close in a road game -- then finish the job. OK, maybe we didnt know it for sure. But it had to happen sometime, right? Right, said the Cavs in their 113-111 victory Friday in a thriller at Atlanta. It didnt end until Alonzo Gee followed in a missed Dion Waiters shot with 0.4 seconds left...

In The Scrum With Alonzo Gee

Reality sets in as Cavaliers fall without Irivng, Waiters

“To be honest I do not think you can make up for it.” — Byron Scott, 12/3/12 It wasn’t all that long ago when a Cavaliers-Pistons match-up was must-watch television. If you need proof, just ask Tayshaun Prince, Jason Maxiell, Anderson Varejao or Daniel Gibson — the only four men to play in the 2007 Eastern Conference Finals who happen to still be playing for their respective...

Gee's last-second tip-in gives Cavs win

ATLANTA -- Dion Waiters insists his last shot hit the rim but everyone else in Philips Arena, including his teammates on the Cleveland Cavaliers bench, saw an air ball. Alonzo Gee, standing under the basket, thought the shot was good; Waiters was in rhythm. Suddenly, the ball was in Gee's hands. "Oh!" he gasped, and tipped it in as time expired to beat the Atlanta...

Box Score: Cavaliers 113, Hawks 111

Josh Smith has had some rough performances against the Cavaliers in his career, and tonight, he forgot to account for Alonzo Gee. Dion Waiters’s three-point attempt went awry, but Gee was there for the putback with 0.4 seconds remaining as the Cavaliers came back from 11 down at the half to snap a 4-game skid and win 113-111 at Philips Arena. Jeremy Pargo led the wine and gold...
