NFL Injury Report:
Miami Dolphins defensive end Dion Jordan underwent offseason
shoulder surgery, and it was expected that he wouldn’t be available to
participate in contact drills for the first few weeks of training camp. As a
result, the Dolphins have placed Jordon on the active/non-football injury list
for the start of camp, according to Pro Football Talk.
As such, Jordan is not technically on the Dolphins’ active
roster yet, but this move can happen at any point. If Miami doesn’t make the
move by the date of the final roster cuts, Jordan would have to spend the first
six weeks of the regular season on the non-football injury list.
PFT doesn’t expect that to happen, especially considering
Jordan is only though to be sidelined for another week or two before he’s
cleared for contact. During that time, he’ll still be able to participate in
team meetings and complete limited workouts.
