Doug Collins and Nick Young have two of the most prevailing reputations in all of basketball.  Collins has long been known as an oldschool, no-nonsense type of guy who takes a very serious, highly disciplined approach to his job.  He’s regarded by players as a hard ass; the Red Foreman of coaching, if you will. Nick Young, on the other hand, will forever be remembered as a detrimental characteristic of the late ’00s Washington Wizards.  On the court, his shot selection is laughable.  Off the court, he’s a caricature of a hipster.  He can often be found posting photos of himself on Twitter, where he goes by the nickname “Swaggy P.” Aside from their mutual interest in basketball, it would appear as though Doug Collins and Nick Young have nothing in common.  Despite the fact that they work together, I have a hard time picturing Doug Collins even talking to Nick Young, let alone referring to him by his Twitter handle.  Doug Collins seems like the type of guy who would b...

Just when the Philadelphia 76ers had some sort of timetable for Andrew Bynum’s return, he suffers — yet again — another setback. Andrew Bynum, former clubhouse cancer of the LA Lakers and current Philadelphia 76er with the wacky hairdo, somehow found a way to keep himself sidelined even longer. Day 19: Where Andrew Bynum Has Problems

Before we get into the performances last night, I can’t not talk about Andrew Bynum. It was recently reported that Bynum had yet another setback with his knees; he is now having trouble with his left knee in addition to the right knee that has kept him out so far this season.
