Michigan State just got a big slap in the face. This morning, one of the nation’s top wide receiver recruits, Drake Harris, announced he has committed to the University of Michigan after previously committing and then de-committing from Michigan State. Just officially committed to The University Of Michigan! — Drake Harris™ (@drizzygetbusy01) April 14, 2013 It was just a few days ago that Drake Harris was tweeting pictures of himself in Columbus wearing a No. 1 Ohio State jersey and standing by the championship trophy. For a 17-year old high school student, he was definitely driving fans crazy with the mix of tweets about different schools. This is the last thing the Spartans expected to happen. It would not have been as big of deal if Harris were to have committed to Alabama or even Ohio State. Michigan State and Michigan are long time rivals, but after this, the rivalry has hit a new level. Here are what Spartans fans are saying about the big 2014 recruit. Rough few months for Drake Harris, who has gone from the nation’s top receiver to just another overrated U-M commit in the eyes of MSU fans. — Scott Bell (@sbell021) April 14, 2013 And now it’s gone from heavy snow to rain and back to snow in the last minute here. This weather changes its mind more than Drake Harris. —Chris Solari (@chrissolari) April 14, 2013 Drake Harris committed? I’d be willing to bet money that he won’t stick with that commitment until February. — Janelle (@jpeanutOSU) April 14, 2013 Drake Harris will be a bust, can’t commit to a school, can’t even commit to a sport. — Benjamin Evans(@BenjaminEvans10) April 14, 2013 I thought Drake Harris wanted a chance at a National Championship — Johnny Sachs (@sachsytweets) April 14, 2013 I guarantee Drake Harris ends up at Alabama — Robert Purdy (@purdmanJR) April 14, 2013 Drake Harris you just became public enemy number 1 in East Lansing and to all of Spartan Nation — Jesse Metz (@jessejamesmetz) April 14, 2013 Within 2 days and 12 tweets, Drake Harris flew to opposite ends of the spectrum. Didn’t expect that, for some reason: twitter.com/stephenjnesbit… — Stephen J. Nesbitt (@stephenjnesbitt) April 14, 2013
