A bust of Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles may or may not wind up residing in Canton, Ohio one day that much will likely not be known for decades.
However, After throwing seven touchdowns Sunday against the Oakland Raiders tying the NFL single game record, the Eagles have sent pieces of Foles' game-worn gear to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton Ohio.
The memorabilia will be displayed in the museum adjacent to the hallowed Hall of Fame busts.
Eagles equipment manager Greg Delimitros handled the Hall's request and sent off a package Tuesday that included the football thrown on Foles' record setting seventh touchdown pass, his cleats and the white number nine jersey the 24-year old wore at O.co Coliseum.
"It's a great honor," Foles said Tuesday. "We were fortunate to go to the hall of fame as rookies last season and I feel honored to be sending the gear there to represent the Eagles even though I know there's already a lot of Eagles stuff in there.
"But what I'll take a way most are the memories I made out there doing it with those guys on Sunday."
Foles threw seven touchdown passes, tying the NFL record set in 1954 by the Eagles’ Adrian Burk and matched by five others since. The second-year University of Arizona product became only the third quarterback in NFL history with seven TD passes and no interceptions in a game. He also finished the game with more touchdown passes than incompletions.
Foles' performance was so dominant against the Raiders that he threw more touchdowns in 40:26 of game time than the Jacksonville Jaguars have all season.
