21st in Owners’ Standings: After posting an 18th-place finish at Iowa Speedway last weekend, the No. 14 Hefty®/Reynolds® Racing team jumped two spots in the NASCAR Owner standings to 21st. After 12 races this season, they are just 19 points from entering the top-20.
Michigan Fast Facts: McClure will compete in his 212th NASCAR Nationwide Series event this weekend and his sixth at the two-mile speedway. McClure missed last season’s race as he was still recovering from injuries sustained in an accident two months prior at Talladega Superspeedway. In five starts, the Virginia driver has completed 97.8% of the total laps attempted and has an average finish of 29.4. McClure’s best finish of 27th came in 2008, while driving for Front Row Motorsports.
Chassis No. 12: The 34-year-old driver will pilot chassis N0.12 this weekend at the two-mile speedway. This chassis was last used at Charlotte Motor Speedway where McClure posted a 30th-place finish after spending seven laps on pit road repairing damage from a late race accident.
Silver Reynolds Wrap Scheme Returns: The silver and blue Reynolds Wrap® paint scheme will hit the track once again for Saturday’s running of the Alliance Truck Parts 250 at Michigan Int’l Speedway. This is the second race this season where RCP’s Reynolds Wrap® brand will adorn the hood of the No. 14 Camry.
Tune-In: Saturday’s race from Michigan will be televised live on ABC Sports beginning at 2:00 p.m. (ET). MRN (Motor Racing Network) and SiriusXM Radio Channel 90 will also broadcast the event live on Saturday, June 15, 2013.
Coming off an 18th-place finish, your best since the season-opener in Daytona, what are your thoughts heading into this weekend’s event at Michigan? “I didn’t run Michigan last year, so there are some uncertainties for me with the new surface and things I saw watching on TV at home. I will lean on my teammates even more this week and look forward to trying to build on last week.”
