While some like to enjoy their retirement with a few rounds of golf, former running back Larry Johnson found a different way to spend his retirement (Credit: SportsBlink.com) When we last saw former NFL running back Larry Johnson in 2011, he was signing with the Miami Dolphins. Johnson was on the team’s roster for only twelve days before he was cut and then re-signed with the Dolphins five days later and was once again cut only ten days later. Johnson attempted only 1 carry for the Dolphins for 2 yards. While Johnson’s career may have ended while attempting only 1 carry, he will be best known for his two legendary seasons in Kansas City during the 2005 and 2006 seasons. During those two seasons, Johnson ran for 3,539 yards and 37 rushing touchdowns. He also added 753 receiving yards and 3 receiving touchdowns. Larry Johnson was the fantasy football stud when fantasy football was in its infancy. Johnson still holds the Kansas City Chiefs records for most rushing attempts (1,375) and most rushing yards in a single season (1,789). So, after such a great NFL career, what is the former Chiefs running back doing with his time? According to TMZ, Johnson likes to take over the DJ Booth at Miami based strip club Tootsie’s Cabaret. While Johnson is not the main DJ he has been spotted on more than one occasion entering the booth to guest DJ. Management would not comment to TMZ on whether or not Larry Johnson does step in for a quick set or two. Johnson seems to know how to enjoy his retirement and hopefully he has a great DJ name. Suggestions for Coach Philbin during the Dolphins bye week

The Miami Dolphins got off to a great start to the season.  They started 3-0 and dreams of challenging the Patriots for the AFC crown were dancing in all Dolfans’ heads.  The Dolphins weren’t perfect, but they were still winning, so no one seemed to worry.  Ryan Tannehill was on a roll and had just lead the team down the field for a come from behind victory over the Falcons...

Is the Dolphins' Hunt for a Quarterback Finally Over?

BigRey actually came up with this question. Imagine that. BigRey is a star on Dolphin Shout! It is nice to get ideas from you guys, and all I need to do is expand on them. To answer that headline myself, I think our hunt for a quarterback is over. I think we found the right player. Tannehill sure shows a lot of what it takes to make it in this league. A quarterback needs a lot...

Dolphins have lost 2 in a row and it is because of their offensive line

The Miami Dolphins lost a game in which they should have won.  Their offensive line began to unravel in the second half. Poor Ryan Tannehill has now been sacked 24 times in just 5 games.  That is crazy, and will not let him finish the season if they keep it up. The line was so […]

The Dolphins could be holding the 2018 Super Bowl

According to Miami Herald the Miami Dolphins have a bid to host Super Bowl 52 at this week’s NFL fall meetings, held in Washington. Dolphins' ground game on pace to be team's worst

The Miami Dolphins are on pace to break the 25-year-old franchise record for fewest rushing yards in a season. With 22 yards in Sunday's loss to Baltimore, the Dolphins increased their season total to 348, or 69.6 per game. That's not a recipe for success, and the Dolphins (3-2) take a two-game losing streak into this week's bye. Ryan Tannehill has been sacked an NFL...

Ravens 26, Dolphins 23: Postgame takeaways & observations

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- The Miami Dolphins are OK with perfect seasons coming to an end, but going from unbeaten to one game over .500 reflects concerns. Playing after a short week of rest, the Dolphins dropped their second straight contest Sunday, 26-23 to the Baltimore Ravens. Miami's offense struggled from the outset but came alive during the end of the second quarter to...

For the Dolphins, the bye week comes at the right time

When the season started, if you were a fan that was skeptical of the Dolphins heading into the bye week consider yourself a believer in the doldrums of the Dolphins seasons.  Some fans said easily a 1-4 start after being leery of the offensive line's issues in the pre-season and facing top tier quarterbacks, Luck, Ryan, and Flacco.  Some fans said 2-3 would happen, and some...

The Miami Dolphins Mascot’s Premature Celebration

Ever wonder how hard it is to see out of a mascot costume? The Dolphin (T.D. for short) gave us a pretty good idea on Sunday as he celebrated Caleb Sturgis‘ game-tying 57-yard field goal attempt sailing wide left in a 26-23 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. It’s actually kind of sadly hilarious to watch T.D. as he signals a success with his flippers then droops after the officials...

Dolphins Fall to Ravens: 5 Things We Learned

The Miami Dolphins looked like a team that could not only contend for a playoff berth in the AFC through its first three games, but with its defense, looked like a team that could really make some noise in the playoffs. The Miami Dolphins have like anything of that nature the past two games, this time falling at home to the Baltimore Ravens 26-23 at home.If there is to be a change...

Miami Dolphins Week 5: The good, the bad and the ugly

The 3-0 start for the Miami Dolphins now seems so long ago after the Dolphins fell for a second straight week on Sunday to the Baltimore Ravens, 26-23.
