Found November 08, 2013 on NFL Injury Report:
The Steelers defense is giving up a ton of fantasy points to opposing running backs, but does that make it O.K. to start both Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller? This is a situation that a lot of fantasy owners are facing this week. Jackson continues to perform, but Spiller is creeping back to 100%. It’s always been an unspoken fantasy rule that you don’t start 2 RBs on the same team; but is it sometimes OK to break that rule? I’m going to give our readers a chance to give their opinion in today’s “Who would you start?” fan poll:   Sit/Start No. 4 In a PPR league, which 2 would you start in week 10? Fred Jackson (vs. Steelers) Cecil Shorts (vs. Titans) C.J. Spiller (vs. Steelers) Pick Your Starters If you have a who-to-start situation this week hit me up on Twitter @NFLBen

Pittsburgh Steelers: 2013 Midseason Report Card Grades for Defense, Special Teams

You thought the Pittsburgh Steelers’ offense and coaches had bad midseason grades? Wait ’til you see these. If the first half of the 2013 season was a term paper, the one written by the Steelers’ defense would be laced with red ink. DEFENSIVE LINE The Steelers have yielded 131.2 rushing yards per game, 31st in the league. Looking at it another way, opponents have attempted...

The Pittsburgh Steelers have now wrapped up their Friday practice and the final injury report of the week is now out and it includes one new player. Tackle Mike Adams (ribs) was added on Friday after not practicing with a rib injury and is listed as questionable. Tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) is also listed as questionable after being limited once again. Should both be unable to...

If Mike Tomlin doesn’t beat the Bills this week in Pittsburgh, could it cost him his job?

Have the Pittsburgh Steelers players given up on Mike Tomlin?  I think it would take a major change of heart for the Rooney’s to fire someone, but deep down inside, it could happen. I don’t believe that Mike Tomlin should be the problem because he has had to go through problem after problem, especially on […]

Bell Moving in Right Direction for Steelers

Le’Veon Bell is never going to be mistaken for Willie Parker. He isn’t going to be confused with Jerome Bettis or Barry Foster either. What Bell is right now is a work in progress and that’s OK. Lost in the Sunday afternoon blowout loss to New England was the fact that Bell put together a pretty darn good game. He rushed for 74 yards on 16 carries and collected five pass receptions...

Steelers defensive players aren’t willing to blame Dick LeBeau

Despite the Steelers’ defensive struggled this season,  Dick LeBeau’s defensive unit isn’t ready to blame him for their shortcomings this season.   “Somebody has to take the blame,” linebacker LaMarr Woodley said per the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. “That’s just the way it is when you’re having a bad season. Last season I was the one to take the blame. It comes with...

Antonio Brown understands why he was benched

Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown told reporters that he understands why he was benched at the end of last week’s game. “Coach got me and Ben together [on the sideline] and talked about the execution of the play and what transpired,” said Brown, who leads the league with 61 catches and is on pace to break Hines Ward’s single-season receiving record (112). “From there...

Ryan Clark Defends the Steelers Defense, Coach LeBeau

The Steelers are 31st against the run so far in 2013. That's the worst ranking in Steelers history on defense. We're not even gonna look it up, it has to be. The team prepares to face the Buffalo Bills' 7th-ranked rushing attack this Sunday at Heinz Field--and it will be a significant challenge. The Steelers have allowed over 100 yards rushing 6 times this year...

Behind Enemy Lines: Pittsburgh Steelers

Enjoy and tell a friend. 1) So how do you guys feel about the Steelers so far this year?  I could just answer this one with a picture of an empty whiskey bottle, honestly. 2) If you were the opposing...

Ramon Foster Developing Into An Asset In Pass Protection

By Matthew Marczi Because of his unheralded entrance into the team and his lack of pedigree, left guard Ramon Foster has by and large gone unnoticed amidst the attention and scrutiny paid the other linemen, whether it is due to their draft positions and expectations or the fact that they are expected to step in to replace somebody else. No, Foster has always simply been the steady...

Steelers Salute to Service

Every year the NFL does an excellent job of honoring those who have risked, or continue to risk, their lives defending our country. For every point scored during the designated Salute to Service games, the league will donate $100 per point to each of it's three core, military non-profit partners -- the Pat Tillman Foundation, USO and the Wounded Warrior Project. ...

Buffalo Bills at Pittsburgh Steelers: 2013 Week 10 NFL Pick

Buffalo Bills (3-5) at Pittsburgh Steelers (2-6) The Steelers are one team that I don’t really have a beat on. Their offense has been massively improved since the bye, but their aging defense seems to be heading in the opposite direction. Any time you allow 55 points, even to the Patriots, who can tear up anyone when they’re right, it’s a bad sign. They are still getting killed...

The Jacksonville Jaguars are still searching for their first win of the 2013 season, and now take on the 4-4 Tennessee Titans this Sunday at LP Field in Nashville, Tennessee. The Jags have one of the worst point differentials in NFL history, yielding over 33 points per game...
