They call me ‘Flash’ Juan… 2012 Recap:  Only 2 rookie WRs put up better production then Josh Gordon last season.  They were TY Hilton and Justin Blackmon.  Gordon, who was taken in the supplemental draft by the Browns was know for his size and speed in college and it translated onto the field.  Gordon showed progress throughout the season, but was too reliant on the big play to show consistency.  Gordon finished 50th among WRs, with 6.9 FPG, on 50 rec (53.2% catch rate) for 805 yards and 5 TDs.  Only 6 WRs caught the ball an average of more than 9 yards downfield and gained more than 6 yards after the catch, Gordon was one and Danario Alexander was another.  This gives us a slight barometer of what Norv Turner’s deep pass attack can do. What’s Changed:  The Browns brought in new HC Rob Chudzinski and OC Norv Turner, who love to set up the deep passing game with a power running game.  The blueprint is there and the pieces are there, now can Norv and Chud get it going.  Obviously, a lot has to do with the health of Trent Richardson and the progress of Brandon Weeden.  Gordon fits right into what they want to do, but a 2 game suspension looms.  Gordon violated the NFL’s substance abuse policy and is one step away from getting suspended for a year.  With his checkered past is question, fantasy owners will have to take this into consideration when evaluating Gordon. Outlook:  The 2 game suspension will not scare me off from drafting Gordon at the right price.  Gordon has the perfect skill set to go along with the arm of Weeden and the coaching philosophies of Norv and Chud.  He will have every chance to start and produce once he returns.  The upside is there and through the roof, just make sure you take everything into consideration when drafting Flash. Cleveland Browns Best Case/Worst Case

Training camp doesn’t start for almost another three weeks, so it’s the perfect time to make largely uninformed predictions about what this season will hold for the Browns. But let’s not be blindly optimistic with these forecasts. Instead, I’ll offer both a best and worst case scenario in a variety of different areas relating to the Browns season. Passing Game Best Case:...

Trent Richardson on track for training camp

Cleveland Browns RB Trent Richardson began his scheduled running program back home in Pensacola, FL, and barring any setbacks, looks to be ready to join his teammates on the field when training camp begins on July 24th. The team is hoping his nagging leg injury is fully recovered as there's always possibilty they could err on the side of caution and keep him out of camp...

Cleveland Browns: Replacing Phil Dawson

Kickers are most certainly an afterthought in the NFL, as there are often more than a few that bounce around from team-to-team throughout the course of every season. Most teams consider their kickers to be expendable. Former Cleveland Browns kicker Phil Dawson was the rare exception to this for 14 years, as Dawson had been a member of the Browns since their reboot in 1999. Obviously...

RB Trent Richardson on schedule for training camp

According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, running back Trent Richardson started his running program and is on track to reporting on time and most importantly healthy. Richardson is back home in Pensacola, Florida, and he’s still on schedule to start camp on July 24. Cabot writes: ‘Richardson has begun his running program, as scheduled, at home in Pensacola...

Haslam has no plans to sell Browns

A spokesman for Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam says Haslam has no plans to sell the franchise despite legal troubles with the company he runs. FBI agents say transcripts of secretly recorded calls among Pilot Flying J employees reveal a scheme to defraud trucking companies of fuel rebates, and five members of the sales staff at the nation's largest diesel retailer have...

The Browns officially kick off their first training camp under Rob Chudzinski and staff on Thursday July 25. We will break down each position in the weeks leading up to the start of camp with the players currently on the roster. The second position we take a look at is the running back position. Trent Richardson started his running program, on track for camp

After battling some injuries this offseason, Browns running back Trent Richardson is at  home in Florida getting ready for training camp by participating in his own running program, according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer. Richardson has begun his running program, as scheduled, at home in Pensacola, Fla., so he’s still on track for camp. But the Browns will err...

Trent Richardson will be ready for training camp according to report

The Browns won't be going into training camp without their young star runner as was previously feared according to a report from Mary Kay Cabot of The Plain Dealer. Richardson is on pace to participate when camp opens, but Cabot does note that it's very possible the young running back could be limited in participation as a precaution to ensure he's healthy for the beginning...

Fantasy Profile: Jordan Cameron

Everyone thinks I’m gong to break out this year Juan!!! 2012 Recap:  Jordan Cameron will not be getting drafted this season based on what he did last season.  I have been watching and waiting for Cameron to get his shot at starting and the opportunity is finally knocking.  In 2012, he played in 14 games (6 starts) and caught 20/226/1 (11.3 YPC) on 40 targets (50% catch rate...

Jaws: Brandon Weeden can excel in new Cleveland Browns offense

Quarterback guru Ron Jaworski (click to PFR for some groovy 1980′s stat lines) is beginning to unveil his annual rankings of the position, and, Mary Kay Cabot at the Cleveland Plain Dealer is excited about Browns QB Brandon Weeden’s ranking… a robust 26. Ok, maybe the number isn’t something to get hyped up about, but, a number of Jaws’ comments stand out as good news...
