In recent months Jeff Farrar has been one of the faster rising prospects in the Western region and yesterday the Sun Devils added their name to his list of suitors. The Upland (Calif.) athlete visited Arizona State’s spring game yesterday and Devils Digest caught up with after the conclusion of his trip to get his impressions of that experience.
BEST OF MAXIM
The first half of Arizona State’s spring game was defined by defensive dominance, but the second period was an entire different story. The Sun Devil quarterbacks combined for five touchdown passes as the Maroon team prevailed over the Gold squad 24-22 in front of 6,386 fans Saturday morning at Sun Devil Stadium.
What a difference a year makes. In spring 2012, quarterback Taylor Kelly was third on the Arizona State depth chart behind Mike Bercovici and Michael Eubank. After winning the job in the fall camp and leading the Sun Devils to an 8-5 record last season, the junior has a strong grasp on the first string role and doesn’t seem to be doing anything this spring to relinquish it.
