Fighting Illini Fall to No. 22 Michigan, 31-14

It was a total team collapse. The Fighting Illini football team, anticipating an inspired effort after a bye week, laid an egg on the Memorial Stadium turf Saturday, losing to Michigan 31-14. Michigan has superior speed, but the Illini had breakdowns in all three phases to give the Wolverines all the help they needed to keep the Illini in what is now a four game losing streak.
