The Bull Gator:
The official schedule hasn’t been released (or maybe it has depending on when you’re reading this), but one thing is apparent – the Florida Gators will meet both the Texas A&M Aggies and Missouri Tigers on the gridiron in 2012. Florida will travel to Texas A&M and host Missouri in September, welcoming the SEC’s newest members to the conference early in the schedule. The debates will rage on as critics and supporters continue to attempt to decide if the Aggies and Tigers were the right choices for the conference. At this point, those debates fall on deaf ears, at least around here. They have joined the SEC and will be members for what will most likely be a very long time (or until the super conferences come along, but we’re almost guaranteed the SEC will be one of them in some form). Due to that, I welcome Texas A&M and Missouri and look forward to watching Florida face them both during their first year in the nation’s best conference. As the Gators begin their march back t...
BEST OF MAXIM
On Wednesday, the Florida Gators’ 2012 football schedule was released to anticipation not experienced in quite some time. That anticipation had as much to do with the Gators as it did with the new (and improved?) 14-team SEC. We knew Florida would be facing the Texas A&M Aggies and Missouri Tigers, but we weren’t entirely sure when and how those games would impact the rest...
The Missouri Tigers defeated the North Carolina Tarheels in the Independence Bowl by the score of 42-24.
UNC looked like and played like UNC. Meaning poor defensive play led to their loss. They have potentially but must play better as a defensive unit.
The real reason us Gamecock fans tuned into the Independence Bowl was to see what the Tigers from Missouri are all about and...

Missouri will represent the Big 12 for the last time in this years Independence Bowl while UNC looks to close a dark chapter in their programs history. This game features two good defensive teams and some explosive offensive players highlighted by UNC recceiver Dwight Jones. Jones along with his defensive teammates Quinton Coples and Zach Brown all figure to be drafted high. Brown...
After narrowly falling to the eighth ranked Missouri Tigers in the annual "Braggin' Rights" game played in St. Louis, Illinois head coach had to feel pretty good about how his young team fought back in a hostile environment against a Top 10 opponent.
Weber knew his young team played hard, but a loss to Mizzou always hurts, no matter the circumstances.
The Gators are hard at work on the practice field in Jacksonville as they prepare to face Ohio State in the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl. The last time the Gators had a losing season was 1979, and at 6-6 the Gators’ streak is on the line. The guys on Florida’s defense will definitely have their work cut out for them, especially when it comes to facing Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller.
With only a little over a month to go before signing day for the 2012 football recruiting class, ShowMeMizzou.com gives an update as to how things look for the Missouri Tigers heading into the stretch run of the recruiting season.
The lack of playmakers on the Florida offense this season was made more difficult by an underperforming the offensive line. The Gators struggled to find consistency in the trenches to produce any run or pass game. With all of the issues on the offensive line this season, Florida interim offensive coordinator Brian White has been encouraged with how they looked early in bowl practices.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Christmas break is officially over for the Gators.
The Gators arrived here earlier today to begin preparation for the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl on Jan. 2 against Ohio State.
Meyer, who coached Florida to two national titles before stepping down, will be the Buckeyes' coach next season. More links to Ohio State stories.
