In his college football days as a linebacker at Georgia, ESPN college football analyst was one of the most beloved players on the team, along with quarterback David Green. In fact Loran Smith wrote a book about the duo called Beloved Dawgs. Nowadays, Pollack is learning to deal with the criticism from Dawg fans when he expresses a negative comment lobbied at the team or his former head football coach, Mark Richt. “I catch flak from Georgia fans when I pick against Georgia,” Pollack said. “They definitely don’t like that too much. They call me a traitor and get upset with me and stuff like that, but I take my job really serious. Do I want Georgia to win every game? Absolutely.
