Roddy White on getting ready for the playoffs: “I’d rather play pedal to the metal"

The Atlanta Falcons are fighting an image problem, no one takes them seriously. The top seed in the NFC doesn't have much back up in the confidence department, especially in their hometown. A loss to the Carolina Panthers stoked those fires even further, however, the playoffs are around the corner and the Falcons will be in the hunt, but the general public hasn't caught...

Falcons a win away from home-field advantage

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. The most quotable member of the Atlanta Falcons was trying not to say anything at all. But he couldn't help himself and failed. As the team's open locker room session with the media came to a close, wide receiver Roddy White left for a meeting and announced, "I'm not talking until after we win home-field advantage." Enough said. With...

We have seen many things this 2012 season. It started with Bounty Gate and replacement refs, to field goals and touchdowns that weren't, to quarterback controversies, to the return of Peyton Manning and Adrian Peterson (who both are top contenders for MVP and Comeback...

The Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders are Amongst Tops in the League

The NFL season is slowly coming to a close.  Playoffs should be extremely interesting and no matter what I’m sure we’ll see some great commercials during the Super Bowl.   Speaking of the NFL, I realize that I never share photos of one of the best resources the NFL has to offer:  the cheerleaders. That’s because [...]

Roddy White admits that the Falcons used to be scared of other teams

The Atlanta Falcons swagger captain is hands down, without a doubt veteran receiver Roddy White. White can thump his chest and talk trash with the best of them. He has every right to, to a certain degree as his team is 12-2. Boom. Right now they are the best in the business with only the AFC’s Houston Texans holding a similar record. So as is his nature, White is taking it upon...

Hot girl loses Giants-Falcons bet, posts pics on Twitter

ATTENTION, ATTENTION!  Miss Erin Willett is craving your attention! Erin’s 10,000+ Twitter followers all became pseudo-Atlanta Falcons fans on Sunday after Erin, a 23 year old vascular technologist (uh?), lost a bet with a fellow tweeter.  The interwebs tell us that she doesn’t currently maintain celebrity status, but 10K is nothing to sneeze at (hot chicks have it easy). On...

Falcons rebound from loss to rout Giants

ATLANTA As statement games go, the Atlanta Falcons could not have made a more emphatic one on Sunday. Coming off a humbling loss to an inferior opponent, the Falcons took advantage of two first-half interceptions to jump all over the New York Giants en route to shellacking the defending Super Bowl champions 34-0, delivering a hit to the Giants playoff chances in the process. ...

Falcons-Giants: Report Card

PASSING GAME Falcons After falling out of the MVP race with a five-game string of mediocre-to-awful outings, Matt Ryan returned to form against the Giants, exacting revenge with a 23-of-28 passing performance for 270 yards. When it was all over, he had three touchdowns and no interceptions. Ryan surpassed his own franchise record for passing yards in this one, as he now has 4,202...

New York Giants Get Punked By The Atlanta Falcons 34-0

The Atlanta Falcons have a great record, but they have won a lot of games against average to weak opponents by slim margins. The Falcons needed a coming out game to boost their relevance in the NFL. Well, they got it by playing a complete game against one of the most feared opponents in the playoffs- The New York Giants. Atlanta had to come out and punch the Giants in the face to...

New York Giants at Atlanta Falcons: 5 Things We Learned

"Get the BLEEP off my field!!!" Those words were uttered by QB Matt Ryan in an earlier Atlanta Falcons win this season over the Carolina Panthers in the Georgia Dome.  "Matty Ice" would have been well within his rights to utter that same statement again Sunday afternoon after the 34-0 beat-down they handed Eli Manning and the New York Giants. The Giants now...

Falcons squash Giants in shut-out victory

The Falcons laid a beatdown on the defending Super Bowl champions, routing the New York Giants by a score of 34-0. It marks the first regular season shutout of the Giants since 1996. It is also the first time the Falcons have shut out their opponent since a 24-0 win over the Oakland Raiders in 2008, and their first time doing so in the Georgia Dome since a 30-0 victory over the Carolina...
