A first went down in pro tennis fashion Friday night at the Sony Open. Jelena Jankovic wore a tennis dress designed by a fashion student who submitted her design to Fila on Facebook. Samantha Swank, pictured below, is a junior at East Stroudsberg University, PA who received her associate's degree in fashion from the Art Institute of Philadelphia. She won Fila USA's 2012 Facebook design contest. If you click that last link you will see the designs of the two finalists in the contest; Swank's pink dress won. On Friday night Swank sat courtside in Miami at Sony Open Tennis to watch her beautiful design debut, play and win, on fashion's largest international runway (in physical size). Very cool.
