DALLAS (AP) -- Free agent Devin Harris has officially rejoined the Dallas Mavericks.
The 10th-year guard was acquired as the No. 5 pick on draft night in 2004 and spent his first 3 seasons with Dallas before a trade with New Jersey that brought Jason Kidd back to the Mavericks.
Harris originally agreed to join Dallas nearly a month ago, but the contract was held up by concerns over a toe injury.
He averaged 9.9 points and 3.4 assists per game for Atlanta last season and has career averages of 12.8 points and 4.9 assists.
Harris had his best season with the Nets in 2008-09, when he averaged 21.3 points and 6.9 assists and made the All-Star team.
Terms of the deal announced Wednesday weren't released.

Guard Devin Harris signed a contract Wednesday with the Dallas Mavericks that was significantly smaller than the deal the sides originally agreed to this summer.
Harris 30 signed a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum of $1.3 million. Earlier this month the sides mutually agreed to pull a three-year $9 million offer off the table when Harris' pre-signing physical screening...
The Dallas Mavericks effectively sacrificed an entire year of Dirk Nowitzki's career to pursue another established superstar in free agency, in order to prolong their taut championship window. That's fine, they thought, since Chris Paul, Deron Williams and Dwight Howard -- each franchise altering cornerstones -- were all relatively obtainable. But this risky preposition also...

After pursuing Delonte West recently, the New York Knicks are no longer looking into the free agent guard, according to a source.
West last played 44 games in the 2011-12 season with the Dallas Mavericks.
The Knicks have been scouring free agency for a third point guard behind Raymond Felton and Pablo Prigioni.
The Dallas Mavericks are close to a deal with DeJuan Blair.
Blair has been expected to leave the San Antonio Spurs for several seasons after he fell out of Gregg Popovich's rotation.
The Mavericks will feature the additions of Blair and Samuel Dalembert to the frontcourt this offseason.
Before coming across this quote, I didn’t think that Brooklyn Nets head coach Jason Kidd was a huge fan of classic sci-fi flick, “The Matrix” but apparently, the story of Neo really settled with the new head man in Brooklyn.
Recently, Kidd attended a special New York City screening of the new movie Matt Damon movie, “Elysium” and the fine folks over at The Source caught...
