Johnny Manziel has had one heck of a freshman year at Texas A&M.  He won the Heisman Trophy and him and his team blew out the Oklahoma Sooners in the Cotton Bowl 41-13. In the Cotton Bowl, Manziel had a total of 516 yards, four touchdowns and just one interception. He has been on a tear and the future looks bright for Johnny Football. Yet with fame and success comes with some baggage. No matter where you go, people will be looking for you trip up. This holds true for Manziel. Recently TMZ had posted pictures of him in a club having a good time. The problem is that Johnny is 20 years old and he was spotted in a 21 and over club. Plus there were pictures of him drinking some champagne. Again the pictures would be ok if he was of legal drinking age. You wonder if the NCAA or Texas A&M will hand out any penalties to Manziel. Johnny responded to the photos by saying, “It’s tough knowing that everything you do is watched pretty closely, because I’m doing the same stuff I’ve always done. It’s just now people actually care what I do.” Manziel also caught some heat from a picture he posted on Twitter called “Casino Ballin”. In the picture he is in a casino in Oklahoma holding up a bunch of money. Manziel did take down the picture, but people did retweet the picture before he took it down. Again there is nothing wrong with that image since the age requirement for that casino is 18 years old and Manziel is 20 years old. The only thing is that when a NCAA player is holding up wads of money people start making allegations about violating NCAA rules. Manziel is at the age where he is having the time of his life and he should enjoy college. I have nothing wrong Johnny having a good time. The only thing is that with social media I would hate to see his future tarnished by someone from TMZ trying to break a story of a college kid that happens to be a well known football star. Manziel should listen to the words of Uncle Ben as he told Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, “With great power comes great responsibility”, I would hate to see Manziel become another “What if?” story.
