The Air Force coaches had been keeping tabs on Nate Romine throughout his senior season at Upland High School in California's San Bernardino County. The 6-foot, 190-pound quarterback showed them what they wanted to see. After an offer was extended from Jake Campbell it didn't take Romine long to accept and become a member of the 2013 Falcon recruiting class.
