Triple G is a good boy. So much so that not only did he get the “2013 fighter of the year” nod from a vast majority of boxing media but he also received a ton of gifts from Santa Claus this year. The gifts from good ole’ father Christmas had to of been a payback from all the knockouts he blessed us with in the past year. Now Golovkin is looking to take this momentum into overdrive and finally be able to break thru, securing himself in a big PPV type match in the future with either Sergio Martinez or Andre Ward. For him to get there though, them knock outs need to keep piling up. “GGG” is at 14th in a row and on February 1st he looks to get number 15 as he takes on Osumanu Adama in Monaco, Monte Carlo. Our man Marcos Villegas had a chance to sit down with Golovkin as the two discussed his tremendous 2013, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his Feb 1st match up.
