Freddy Adu leaves to join Brazilian club Esporte Clube Bahia Philadelphia Union have reached a mutual agreement to terminate the contract of Ghanaian-born forward Freddy Adu. The 23-year-old is heading to Brazil after spending two years with the Zolos. Adu will join Esporte Clube Bahia in an exchange deal which will see Brazilian midfielder Jose Kleberson move the opposite direction on loan. “We would like to thank Freddy Adu for his service to the Union over the past two years and wish him the best of luck as he continues his career in Brazil,” Philadelphia team manager John Hackworth said.
