The Seattle Seahawks could be missing three starting offensive linemen when they take the field against the Houston Texans on Sunday.
Right tackle Breno Giacomini and center Max Unger are both listed as doubtful to play against the league's second-ranked defense. Coach Pete Carroll said both would be game-time decisions but it looks unlikely either will be able to play.
Carroll emphasized that the Seahawks are trying to be cautious with both Giacomini and Unger and won't push things if they aren't ready to play.
''When (our players) are getting banged up, we're trying to really give them every chance to get back and utilize our depth and if that's what this calls for then we're ready to do that,'' Carroll said. ''We're not going to force guys back out there until they're ready to play.''
Unger has a triceps injury suffered last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was checked by trainers on the sideline but rem...

The 3-0 Seattle Seahawks travel to Houston this week, who are still reeling from a baffling 30-9 loss to Baltimore last week. Seattle’s defense has stymied opposing offenses thus far, creating turnovers and setting quarterback Russell Wilson up with prime field position. Matt Schaub’s dismal performance against the Ravens...
The Seattle Seahawks have a plethora of issues along their offensive line heading into this weekend’s much-anticipated matchup with the Houston Texans, according to their official team web site. All-Pro center Max Unger is listed as doubtful along with right tackle Breno Giacomini. Plus, Seattle previously lost Pro-Bowl left tackle Russell Okung to short-term IR with a toe injury...
Russell Wilson brought along a gift to his weekly media session that the Seattle Seahawks quarterback received earlier this week from a young hospital patient.
Wilson on Thursday showed off a Seattle Seahawks wallet made from duct tape by an 11-year-old patient named Allison at Seattle Children's Hospital. Since arriving in Seattle, Wilson has regularly visited patients at the...
The BC Lions got an impressive performance from rookie Thomas DeMarco last weekend in Regina. The young quarterback got his first CFL win in his first CFL start, then you have to consider that the game was on the road against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, who are a division rival that has the most hostile environment in the league and Lions fans have to feel excited about the...
The Seattle Seahawks are headed to 4-0 on the young season and don’t even have their most explosive weapon available to them.
If the Seahawks have their way, you’ll see Percy Harvin later this season as the team continues to barrel towards the playoffs.
Harvin has returned to New York for rehab on his hip and according to sources, the playmaker is ahead of schedule in his...
Trying to keep J.J. Watt from wreaking havoc in the backfield is a tall task for even the best offensive lines.
The Seattle Seahawks may have to attempt it this week without their two starting offensive tackles.
Pro Bowl left tackle Russell Okung is out with an injured toe. Right tackle Breno Giacomini has an ailing knee that forced him to the sidelines early in Seattle's 45...
The Seattle Seahawks may very well be without three starting offensive linemen for Sunday's matchup against the Texans. A week after left tackle Russell Okung was placed on the short-term injured reserve list, starting right tackle Breno Giacomini did not participate at all this week with a knee injury and center Max Unger was only able to participate in a limited capacity...
If there's one thing that's always bugged me about the Seahawks teams Pete Carroll has put together over the last few years, it's been their maddening tendency at times to play down to the level of their competition. In 2011, they beat the 12-4 Ravens and the eventual Super Bowl champion Giants, but lost to a middling Cowboys team and a 5-11 Redskins team led by Rex...

Seahawks Back on the Road Looking to Stay Perfect
The Seattle Seahawks head back east this Sunday to play yet another dreaded 10 AM Pacific game. This time it is against the 2-1 Houston Texans – a team that was schooled last week against Baltimore.
Seattle has looked very much like the class of the NFC so far this year.
Russell Wilson has eclipsed any...
Seahawks go for 4-0
Game in and game out the Seattle Seahawks‘ biggest obstacle will be themselves. I don’t know what it is about this team, whether it’s over-confidence or Pete Carroll’s preaching about not being able to lose a game in the 1st quarter, but they always start slow.
No matter the cause, Sunday the habitual slow start will be compounded by a 10:00 AM Pacific...
Well Seattle, here we go
It is week 4 and the Seahawks are heading down to Houston to take on Andre Johnson and the Texans. (I don’t care how good JJ Watt is, Andre is the name that goes before the team.
Because he’s my favorite player that isn’t a Seahawk and he is awesome.
Although Seattle is 3-0 and has had a solid season, they still show areas of struggle that they have...
The Seattle Seahawks are about to hit the road for a 2 game road trip starting off in Houston. The Seahawks will be playing the Texans for the third time in team history with the series even at 1-1. This week the Hawks will look to stop not only JJ Watt in order to keep the offense moving, but they must also shut down Andre Johnson.
Let’s go back in time, shall we...
After a devastating run-in with the Baltimore Ravens in their place last Sunday, the most hotly anticipated contest in perhaps the entire NFL for the coming Sunday is occurring in our place. The white hot Seattle Seahawks bring their special mix of a killer secondary, brutal front seven and an offense that has moments of brilliance to Reliant to face an angry Houston Texans...
The Seahawks have never started a season with four straight victories and the host Texans are striving to make sure that remains the case in Sunday’s showdown. The teams have split two previous meetings with Houston winning the most recent one – 34-7 in 2009.

A fourth consecutive 3-0 start to the season – the Cardinal had exactly one of those from 1973 until 2001 – serves as another reminder of The Farm’s historic staying power. And while Stanford hits the road to exorcise the demons of the Seattle Seahawks’ space age digs, the newest TWISH entries feature a pair of exciting tilts below the old Stanford Stadium bleachers.
